ANDROID 6.0 MARSHMALLOW: UPDATE OVERVIEW FOR SMARTPHONES AND TABLETS

Android Marshmallow is rolling out across the world and we've gathered all the important information in one place. The latest news is that Sony has rolled the update out to two more devices, as has Samsung. Hit the link to jump straight to that or check out our list of devices – from Samsung, Sony, LG, Motorola, Google and others – to see which are in line for the latest Android update.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update: latest news
Samsung is now rolling out Android Marshmallow to the Galaxy S5 mini handsets in Russia, ahead of a wider rollout.
A thread in the Android Reddit page has emerged which points to a problem with Marshmallow on Samsung devices. Users report that passwords on the devices including the Galaxy Note 4, Note 5, S5 and S6, are becoming disrupted following the upgrade to Marshmallow. The result is that some users are unable to unlock their phones.
One reported solution is to use Samsung's Find My Mobile service to unlock the device, and change the original password afterward. However, this can only be achieved if you have previously set up the service.
Hopefully, the issue is limited to a handful of users and will be addressed shortly. If you have this problem, you can contact Samsung Customer Support at the link.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update: Asus

Asus is rolling out Android Marshmallow to the ZE551ML and ZE550ML variants of its Zenfone 2. The 1.1 GB update is being delivered over-the-air and includes a number of performance improvements as well as the removal of a fair bit of bloatware (19 apps in total).
We advise you charge your device above 50 percent before the installation and download the package over Wi-Fi rather than mobile data; it's a big one.
